The Gills- Artist of the Month

The Gills are a great band based out of Pensacola.  They have opened for Sheryl Crow and are definitely one of my new favs!!  I checked them out at Tipitina's in New Orleans in November and ever since then I've been hooked.  I unfortunately was unable to make it to their show in Hattiesburg but hopefully I'll catch them in Baton Rouge.  They have an alternative sound  that is a bit dreamy.  I'm not sure how to describe them.  They have a great feel.  My favorite songs are Hippos, If I Could be with You, and of course The Mountain. lol
