This should have posted weeks ago!! :)

Orpheuscapade

I had the pleasure of going with my friends to Orpheuscapade. It's a formal ball that takes place after the Orpheus parade. It's great- the parade goes right through the Convention Center and ends with cocktails, food, and live music.  This year we took a silly group picture!  Don't mind my sexy and I know it. :)

Lavender Roses

Unfortunately, Shane's car got totaled so we had to get a new vehicle. We went with a Honda Civic. Naturally with a new purchase of a car- the dealership gave us a bouquet of roses. Perhaps it was because it was a bittersweet end to such a headache of an event that I just loved those roses!!

My new baby.

While everyone around me is getting baby fever- I got puppy fever. Shane surprised me with this bad little puppy two weeks ago. Her name is Ember. She is the most adorable thing ever. We aren't sure which breeds she is mixed with. The shelter paperwork states that she is an Australian Cattle dog Mix but she is very tiny. She is now 12 weeks and only 4.4 lbs.

Spring Wreath

I'm seriously the worst wreath maker ever- but it doesn't stop me. One day, I will be the best around town. This very obnoxious and unimpressive wreath hangs on my front door inviting the spring weather.  When I get home from work- it is a constant reminder that I have to make time for hobbies.

Muses Parade

Mardi Gras was great this year and I'm actually sad that it was so early in the year. Now, I have to wait that much longer for the next season to roll around. I made it a point to go to Muses this year! I didn't catch a shoe but I had a great evening with friends. For those who aren't familiar with this parade- YES, that is a giant pump! It's their first float and the whole parade is all about shoes!
